Patricia E. Tichenor, Esq.

Owner and Principal Attorney

Patricia E. Tichenor graduated cum laude from the American University, Washington College of Law (1996) in Washington, D.C. She received her B.A. degree Magna Cum Laude in English Literature from Hofstra University in New York (1992). Prior to opening her own practice, Ms. Tichenor worked for the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Agriculture headquarters in Washington, D.C. She was responsible for regulatory oversight, investigation and enforcement for the Food Stamp Program, as well as a number of other programs managed by the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) in Alexandria, Virginia. Ms. Tichenor opened the Law Office of Patricia E. Tichenor, P.L.L.C. in 2001, to offer legal services in estate planning and family law. She brings experience in estate planning, securities arbitration, criminal defense and divorce, as well as consulting services for the Technical Advisory Service for Attorneys (TASA). She is licensed to practice law in Virginia, the District of Columbia, Minnesota and California, and is an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Loudoun County Bar Association, Fairfax County Bar Association, Virginia State Bar Association and Minnesota State Bar Association. Ms. Tichenor hails from Minnesota but is a world traveler who has developed a passion for the Korean culture, often traveling to Korea and studying its language.

Camellia Safi, Esq.

Associate Attorney

Camellia Safi graduated from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law (2011), and while in her second year of law school worked as an intern for The Law Office of Patricia E. Tichenor, P.L.L.C. She now serves as Associate Attorney with our practice. While in law school, Ms. Safi also interned for the Honorable Judge Rossie D. Alston, who sits on the Virginia Court of Appeals, and traveled with the Legal Services Society (2009) to provide pro bono legal aid services to Hurricane Katrina victims through the Mississippi Center of Justice. She served as a student attorney for Columbus Community Legal Services at her law school, in both the General Practice Clinic and the Consumer Protection Project, providing legal representation to low-income District of Columbia residents. Ms. Safi served as a staff writer for Comm Law Conspectus: The Journal of Communications Law and Policy, and was a member of the Catholic University Society of Trial Advocates and the American Association of Justice. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Northern Virginia Young Lawyers Association, American Association of Justice, and Catholic University Society of Trial Advocates. She is a native of New York, with family ties to Afghanistan, and is fluent in Farsi and Dari.
